Limahl has discovered a great way to relax…

I can recommend it to anyone!

If Limahl would have to choose between a summer holiday or winter holiday, between warm South Africa or Austria in wintertime, then he would choose the latter. Why? Let’s find out from Limahl himself...

Phew, just want to sit now!" With a plop Limahl lets himself fall into a comfortable deckchair in the middle of one of the splendid heights of Austria. He enjoys a great ski holiday together with a couple of friends. But it is tiring! "We are here at an altitude of 3600 metres", adds Limahl, "the air is therefore very thin and this means that breathing is more difficult than normal. And you get tired more quickly”. Despite that Limahl ‘swishes’ with ease some 7 hours a day down the slopes! Is he such an experienced skier, we ask him.

"Well, I’ve got the hang of it, I dare say", answers the blond singer. "This is my fourth ski holiday and I’m a quick learner. But yes, I’ve got the big advantage of having a private skiing instructor who trains me, which makes a huge difference. Apart from that I find it the most pleasant sports you can imagine. You’ve always got that great sense of holiday, a little adventure and that’s just what I like. Plus you’re closer to nature and you’re busy all day. Delightful!"

Limahl has already recovered again and he gets up to descend this beautifully snow covered mountain for the so-maniest time today. While he puts his skis on, he says with content: "From such a ski holiday I always completely come round. I’ve got a very hectic time behind me with a lot of tensions. Luckily I have had success and I am also very happy that the audience liked 'The Never Ending Story' ! That is really a great feeling. But to get back on my current holiday: I have recently been in South Africa for a week. I liked it there so much that I intend to return there this summer. A fantastic holiday atmosphere is what prevails in Capetown. And the weather is always sunny! But still...if I would HAVE to choose between a summer holiday or a ski holiday, then I would choose the latter, no doubt! And I can surely recommend it to all Popfoto readers".

And with a jolly 'See you!' Limahl sets off and with great speed he descends the white mountain. Within seconds we don’t see much more of him than a red dot.
