Limahl's third single reached number 4 in the UK charts on November 20th 1984. It stayed in the charts for 14 weeks.

The title music for a very sucessful fantasy film, The NeverEnding Story was a hit in 17 countries, eight of which were Numbers Ones, the rest top five. Over four million copies were sold worldwide.

Composed and produced by Giorgio Moroder with lyrics by K. Forsey, the vocals of Limahl & Beth Anderson were recorded separately on opposite sides of the Atlantic.

Limahl also recorded a version with French lyrics with Ann Calvert on accompanying vocals. These lyrics were written by Pierre-André Dousset.
