The RoadHouse, Covent Garden

30th September 2000

Limahl sporting a new pierced eyebrow and casual clothes appeared at around about his usual time slot of 9.30pm BST to perform in front of a packed house.

The songlist consisted of of mainly Eighties hits:

Look of Love (ABC)
Rio (Duran Duran)
It Must Be Love (Labi Siffre later covered by Madness)
Karma Chameleon (Culture Club)
True (Spandau Ballet)
West End Girls (Pet Shop Boys)
I Won't Let the Sun go down on me (Nik Kershaw)
Fever (Peggy Lee)
Don't You want me (Human League)
Just Can't get enough (Depeche Mode)
Tainted Love (Soft Cell)
NeverEnding Story

Limahl came back on after doing a partial change of outfit. After making fun of himself ('cause the top didn't match the bottoms) he continued with an encore which consisted of :

Too Shy
Sweet Dreams (Eurythmics)

On the grounds that Limahl will be on doing a theatre musical for the next 6 months, the DJ asked whether we wanted a second encore. A deafening roar from the crowd ensued and Limahl obliged with:

Take on Me (AHa)

The band members for the night were:

Saxophone -Mix who has had a very sucessful year touring with Groove Armarda and performing with the likes of Elton John.

Guitar -Mike Casswell

Bass -Phil Williams who also plays bass for Tony Hadley.

Drums - Scott Hammond

Keyboards - Steve Murphy
