Comments: Limahl, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Losing a loved one is something we are never prepared for. My condolences to you and your family. This must have been a very difficult time for you. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us, it sounds like the re-union was a truly phenomenimal experience. I wish I could have attended and I hope we will be able to view the special over here. Do you know if VH1 plans on airing the re-union over here in the USA?? Well, I look forward to seeing to you perform again in the spring or maybe sooner. Please keep us updated with your scheduled performances so your fans can make plans accordingly. Keep up the good work and take care!! Donna

Comments: Hi Ilona and all, Debbie u wanted my thoughts on the reunion show, so here goes......how it came about happened so fast that I don't think any of us had time to really digest what was about to take place......our generation seem to live such busy lives these days and I genuinely think we just blocked it out and kept busy......it was made particularly wierd too because a third party company VH1, had managed to achieve what we couldn't ourselves after we met briefly 4 years ago to talk about a Kajagoogoo reunion......of course we don't yet know if this will lead to a full Kajagoogoo reunion (that remains to be seen) but even a one off performance had always seemed impossible......anyway it happened and I have to admit in the end I really enjoyed it......the production budget provided by VH1 made it all quite bearable......great lighting, great sound, great team of professionals, fabulous 5 star hotel in London for everyone, outside catering on location keeping the whole VH1 team going with sumptuous, yummy food......however, it was quite a full on, intense schedule......the rehearsals and all the group members meeting for the first time was filmed (you know how these fly on the wall documentary's go these days) so what should have essentially been a private, poignant moment, was placed firmly under the scrutiny of a VH1 camera/sound/production crew and I can assure you, it really felt quite daunting......after hours of having everything we said and did filmed, I wanted to run into a corner and scream, then run off again and hide in the country or something.....having said that, I felt there was an overwhelming sense that we had all grown up, no attitudes or bad feelings between us, on the contrary, there was a real sense of camaraderie and team spirit...... on the night of the show I went typically quiet and reserved before the performance (I tend to do this to preserve energy for the actual show)......I had a ton of emotions running through my body, terrified no-one would bother to come and see us so the filming would have no atmosphere......my throat was playing up and I was worried about my voice......the pressure felt enormous......however I needn't have worried coz hundreds of you showed up and my ole' vocal chords didn't let me down......it was magic out on stage, really magic and as Debbie so brillianty spotted, I was quite overcome when I sang 'Hang on now'......I've always loved that song and believed it should have done better than it did......it sounded as good as ever and considering I haven't sang it for 20 years it fitted just like an old glove......so when they say the best things in life are worth waiting for, they weren't lying......it took 20 long years for all of us to get back on stage together and I felt proud to be there with Nick, Stuart, Steve and Jez again......all looking fine I might add......no fat, sad old rock n' roll casualties here, just nicely matured like a good wine or champagne ;--)) It was particularly thrilling to meet all their lovely children, the new 'Kajagoogoo' generation......god bless em the little sweethearts, all staying up late and supporting their fathers......thats a nice thing to do innit ;--)) I met lots of fans after the show, signed autographs and had pics which took hours but it was my way of saying thanks......so THANK YOU again all of you......I think we can all look forward to a truly exciting and revealing programme from VH1 when they've finished editing......finally, thank you also for your very kind messages of condolence re my father dying 6 weeks ago, it has been quite a brutal experience and I've been spending a lot of time with my mum for obvious reasons......I think about my dad every day and I'm filling up even now just writing about him......he didn't want to die and fought that dreaded 'liver cancer' to the bitter end but alas was beaten......perhaps its at times like this we realise the bigger picture......anyway, love to you all and see you soon I hope......big hug, Limahl xx
